The homepage: thoughts
The homepage is purposefully unfinished because I’m not quite sure what to do with it yet. Right now it’s to catch up on the latest posts from studios you follow + if you follow any creatives, new public studios they create will be shown to you in your homepage. That’s it. Otherwise, if you have any thoughts as to anything you’d like to see, or ideas that could be interesting to explore for the homepage, just write a comment here. This is a community platform so I really want it to be shaped by you guys. 💙💙 I’m super happy to talk ideas or maybe I create a live on TikTok and we can go through ideas as I sketch them out and talk about directions? Idk that was a random thought I just had.
Do we want likes?
I haven’t added the ability to like posts because I prefer encouraging more ‘meaningful’ interactions like comments, but instead of this being purely a me decision, I’d like to know how we all feel about this. I can always add it if you like!
Would you like to be notified when a new post gets added to a studio you follow?

Hey! Love the app. Could we see historical posts from the studios we follow in the feed area? Without any new posts the app feels a bit empty, but I think this could be different if we could scroll back through the different posts from each studio.
Studio modes!!!
Studio modes was a great idea! I absolutely love them! Goes so well with the ability to customise studios!
Love the update on the layout of collections; it’s a lot smoother and really like the ability to change the grid styles.
Love the app! works well and feature to pin portfolio to profile is cool.
Pinning posts in folders?
Would pinning a post to the top of your folder be something you’d like? I’m thinking instead of pinning it as part of the grid, the pinned post could take up the width of the screen, above the grid

New studio prompt feature
We’re testing out a new feature on Lylac that lets you add a prompt to your studio, shown to people before they enter (as I’ve added to this studio). It could be used to ask a question, set the tone, invite feedback, explain what kind of collaboration you’re looking for, or simply give people a more intentional way into your work. This could also turn into some sort of feature used for competitions and submissions. The design of the page is still ongoing, but I’m curious: what do we think? Do we like it?
how to delete studio?
I think it’s time we were able to zoom in on photos… 🖼️ 🔍
Do we need the equivalent to a like on posts?
Invite codes!
Invite your friends with your unique invite code so they can skip the application process! Every user now has their own code, so if you want to bring someone into Lylac to collaborate together, or simply to allow them to skip the application process entirely - just tap on three dots icon in the top right of your profile page and tap on “Invite code” to generate your unique code.
The ability to see all the collections I’ve posted into would be cool.
Find the feedback folder under the Collections tab on the Home Page, or under Lylac’s or Piers’ profile page!
